Demo against Fine Art staff cuts 10/11/2010
Thanks to the new Government, 50 teaching staff from UCF are to be made redundant including 5 out of 10 from the BA Fine Art courses. Today the Fine Art students organised a demo against these cuts and threats to the future. This is a sympton of the drastic treatment of the Arts overall in this ‘recession’ by this deceptive and arrogant Government, and to the future education of young minds and talents in the form of withdrawn subsidies and the planned ruthless increase in Tuition fees.
