Facebook: Infinity Landscapes Contemporary Art Show
‘Infinity Landscapes’ features the work of four contemporary visual artists, who each uniquely explore perceptions of place through the use of painting and photography.
The show will be open from Wednesday 15th to Sunday 16th June 2011, in the Daniell Room, at The Poly, 24 Church St., Falmouth, TR11 3EG

Natalie Bent delineates an almost dreamlike space in her paintings. The subtle tones, hazy forms and tiny areas of detail are a quiet, still response to the meditation of her environment.
Duncan Hopkins questions the conventions and purpose of contemporary landscape painting. His images reference various aesthetic, political and personal sources, and serve both as a critique and experiential celebration of energetic nature and human involvement.
Hannah Ward‘s abstract paintings originate from observations of land and seascapes, and the portrayal of emotions. With instinctive gesture and passion for colour, Ward hopes to take the viewer to a different place, if just for a few minutes.
Marthe Inè Ludvigsen’s way of responding to the landscape comes from her visual interpretation of her immediate surroundings and her great interest in reading. Combining these two she attempts to create an opening through the layers of information we surround ourselves with so the viewer gets to interpret or see their surroundings through a new perspective through her chosen medium of photography.
